Purcellville Police Incidents Report for 03.27.20
03/20/20 2:27 p.m. 1000 E. Main Street Disorderly Conduct
The loss prevention officer at the Giant Food reported that on 03-19-20 at 9:30 p.m. a customer paid for a few items at the self-checkout line but did not pay for approximately 10 cases of Miller Lite beer, which were in her cart. The loss prevention staff watched her leave in a vehicle. The total loss was $239.99.
The investigation is on-going.
03/20/20 4:55 p.m. 300 Block of S. 12th Street Check on Welfare
Officers responded to check on the welfare of a subject who due to possible drug use was being removed from the house by his grandparents. Upon arrival, the subject was gone, possibly in route to West Virginia. Both the Loudoun County Virginia and Jefferson County Sheriff’s offices notified of the lookout.
Officers from Purcellville had an encounter with the same subject on 03-18-20.
03/22/20 11:22 p.m. 600 Block of Wintergreen Drive Check on Welfare
Officers checking on the physical welfare of a subject located a white powdery substance and unknown pills on the nightstand next to the subject’s bed. The powdery substance was field tested for suspected narcotics with negative results. The pills were tentatively identified using on-line resources, and will be submitted for lab testing to confirm the drug type.
This investigation is on-going.
